This is a private reference site, not a Marion County or Kansas government office. We cannot confirm whether a person is in custody, release anyone, accept or post bond, retrieve an official booking record, correct an agency file, or give legal advice. Contact the government office that holds the record or custody directly.

Choose the Correct Marion Office

For current county custody, call the Marion County Sheriff's Office and Marion County Jail at 620-382-2144. Both operate from 202 S. 4th St., Marion, KS 66861. Marion County publishes general office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Confirm records-counter availability by phone before visiting. Emergency matters belong with 911, not with this private site.

A booking record request can also be routed through the Marion County Freedom of Information Officer and County Clerk at 200 S. Third St., Suite 104, Marion, KS 66861. The office phone is 620-382-2185, the fax is 620-382-8815, and the published email is coclerk@marioncoks.net. Its general hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kansas Open Records Act requests should identify the Sheriff's Office as the department holding a county booking record and should describe the booking sheet and photograph as separate items.

Use the route that matches the question:

  • For a Marion County booking photo, intake sheet, roster entry, or recent arrest, begin with the county booking search and records path, then contact the sheriff or Freedom of Information Officer.
  • For an active local warrant question, contact the Marion County District Court at 200 S. Third St., Marion, KS 66861, 620-382-2104, or call the Sheriff's Office. The Most Wanted Fugitives page explains why no public county warrant portal was verified.
  • For a release date or custody alert, call the jail and use Kansas VINE at 1-866-574-8463. VINE is a notification service, not a mugshot archive or court record.
  • For a city police incident report, contact the arresting department in Hillsboro, Marion, or Peabody. The Sheriff's Office separately holds the county booking record when the person was accepted at Marion County Jail.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner's record or correctional image, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search or its public-record channel. KASPER does not cover every county-jail detainee.
  • For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For civil immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither system is a Marion County jail roster.

Information from an arrest or booking reflects an accusation and custody event, not guilt. For the current charge and final result, consult the Kansas court record. A person is presumed innocent unless convicted.
